Golf Club Livorno
The Livorno Golf Club was born from the idea of redeveloping a public area, in the past used as a landfill and neglected for many years, located within the city between the sea and a sports complex consisting of tennis courts, football, soccer and baseball.
The land is spread over an area of 10 hectares where have been realizedClub-House, deposit bag, deposit machine, illuminated driving range with 9 indoor stations, pitching green, putting green and a 9-hole course par 28 standard homologation and 100% biologic.
The project consists of the central area near the entrance and the core of the social life of the club, consisting of the club house and the area dedicated to practice. Around the central core there is the 9-hole course that has been designed and modeled to enhance the existing morphological conformation of the ground.
The design, supported by 3D models made on the computer, was meticulous and meticulous attention to detail
The length of the holes has been designed to play with a different iron in each hole , from 8 of the 9 holes you have a direct view of the sea and the wind conditions greatly affect the difficulty of the individual holes.
The design originated from the desire to create a course that is able to form the new players and the highs of hcp, with the possibility of make out different types of shots and then give them the capacities to play in any golf course, and offer a difficult training course for the low hcp.
Driven by the desire to create a 100% biological course, we choiche the bermuda grass, both for tees and fairways and for greens. This choice will lead to the absence of use for the maintenance of the course of pesticides or other chemicals components and a saving of up to 50% of water resources. Photovoltaic panels and solar panels will also be installed to power the Club-House and other annexes.
As far as vegetation and plantings are concerned, the choice has been to leave the spontaneous vegetation that is very active in this area and the planting of native species at strategic points between the holes and near the boundaries of the field, both for safety and of the game.
